Humans
Humans are known for their loyalty to their own kind. Their strength lies mainly in their numbers. Wars of succession are not well regarded among humans — they have always fractured the unity of this faction.
The lineage of power
A strategic, competitive and social card game.

About
The ultimate sovereign is dead, and the throne stands empty. Tradition demands that his sons and daughters face each other in a battle that draws in every faction — a war that will decide the next master of the throne.
You play claimants to the throne, descendants of the late sovereign. Using your influence over the peoples of the continent, rally the finest warriors of each faction to your cause. When your dominance is beyond dispute, the throne will be yours.
How to play
To win the game, a claimant must seize the throne and hold it until their next turn. To take the throne, they must end their turn with more points than every other claimant.
Choose the factions that will take part in the conflict. Shuffle them together into a shared deck, then deal 5 cards to each player.
On their turn, each claimant draws a character, then plays a character from their hand onto their field. If you dominate the other claimants at the end of your turn, you take the throne.
Each character on your field provides base points. Their effects and alterations can also change your score.
During a claimant's turn, their characters' effects trigger. Effects can be Instant (when the character enters the field) or Permanent (while the character remains on the field), constrained or not. Alterations can also be attached to your troops.
A game only ends when a sovereign is crowned. You keep playing even when the deck — or your hand — runs empty.
Gameplay mechanics
A claimant does not win by dominating, but by keeping their dominance. Beyond seizing the throne, they must hold it. A game never ends abruptly, and reversals are frequent. Faction effects are varied and original, featuring a novel alteration system and strategic placement on a battlefield.
Designed to be just as addictive with 2 players as with 6, it adapts to every table. The 128 characters who may join your cause make every game unique. The tension of knowing everything can flip at any moment, combined with carefully tuned faction balance, guarantees games full of intense emotions.
In their solitary quest, claimants must know when to join forces to bring down a rival who grows too powerful. The game encourages open communication between players, with no constraints, so every game stays dynamic and fun. No pile-ons, no unfairness — whoever dominates is the only enemy.

Humans are known for their loyalty to their own kind. Their strength lies mainly in their numbers. Wars of succession are not well regarded among humans — they have always fractured the unity of this faction.
The lands ruled by the dead rarely welcome visitors. The creatures that dwell there feed on desolation. They take pleasure in joining the traditional wars of succession, for the death they leave in their wake.
Felines love to mingle with the other factions. Out of opportunism, they exploit the conflicts between claimants to slip into the heart of their armies, sowing a certain confusion.
Whatever their name suggests, demons are not hostile creatures. Their prankish streak, however, can prove extremely tiresome. Hidden in the deepest caves of the continent, these mysterious creatures collect everything they deem valuable.
Forged by the extreme climate of their region, desert warriors are hardened fighters. When they are not at war, they train one another to hold their own against the fearsome predators of the desert. The Nomads have always seen wars of succession as a chance to escape their harsh condition.
Though they take no particular interest in it, the damned are bound, like every faction, to the oath of the war of succession. Their role, however, is limited to annihilating everyone they meet, ally or enemy.
The mages draw their power from the Asteria river. In a perpetual quest for knowledge, they devote their lives to travelling up this endless river that encircles much of the continent. Their knowledge of the world is an asset claimants rarely overlook.
Dwelling in the highest mountains of the continent, the Boreans live in harmony with nature. Men, beasts and abominations coexist in a form of mutual respect. The extraordinary cold of their land grants them exceptional longevity.
Over 15 additional factions are also available for expansions.
If you are a publisher, I invite you to discover the work of Baptiste Desvaux (Koda), whose high-quality illustrations and visual universe closely match the artistic direction I envision for Trone. Very active, he regularly shares new creations on his portfolio and social platforms.
